About the Artist
My name is Ken Lasher and I enjoy drawing portraits of celebrities and everyday people using everything from pencil, pastels, watercolor, and pen and ink and oil paint.
I began drawing at a very young age and have always had a passion for creating one-of-a-kind works of art. My originals are hand-drawn in pen and ink, watercolor, pencil, pastels and oils paint; sometimes using mixed media for a unique look. My goal is to provide high quality "photo realistic" portraits for people who appreciate that we are all a work of art. Each drawing is inspired by the emotional feeling conveyed by the subject in the photograph. All artwork is signed by me.
Like many artists, my love of art stems from the freedom to create new things from familiar objects by conceptualizing what others may never see. For me, art is all about perspective and the unique view derived through the individual eyes of all the beholders. What I enjoy most is that my creative vision enables me to make the "intangible" reality.
