Hello and welcome!  Thank you for visiting our Web site.

AniMEDIA INC. began in January 1993 as a graphic design company known as Communication, Art & Design.  It came into existence when Ken and Elaine Lasher decided to combine their natural talents and interest.  AniMEDIA really is all about Communication, Art and Design.

Ken has always loved to draw.  Elaine has always loved to write.  Over the years, both Ken and Elaine have enhanced their skills and knowledge to offer you their most creative, professional work.

Not only does Elaine love to write, she has a degree in Mass Communications with a strong marketing background.  In 2000, Elaine’s interest expanded into career coaching which coincides quite nicely with the promotion and sales aspect of Web sites.

Ken’s background and training has always focused on drawing.  In college, he took drafting and engineering courses.  He was on the cutting edge when computer-aided drafting began and received professional AutoCAD training taught by Autodesk trainers.  Ken was instrumental in creating his employer’s CAD Department and advanced with it for 15 years.

It was at that point, Ken and Elaine started their graphic design business which is when Ken realized how much more fun there is with creative design.

In 1995, this part of Tennessee began hearing about the Internet so we learned everything we could and by 1996, AniMEDIA had its first two Web site clients.  Our first Web client was a local developer who was one of the few people to understand the power of the Internet.  And it paid off.  Six weeks after his site was uploaded, he sold a home to people living in California.  Our second Web client was a large international glass maker who also realized Web sites widespread potential.  Within one year, his company secured a $20 million dollar contract on the other side of the globe.  The biggest thing that made it possible was comprehensive content and extensive online product specification sheets.

It was in 2000 that our company officially changed its name to AniMEDIA, changed its focus to primarily Web design, and incorporated.  We have worked with a variety of companies over the years, and our favorite clients are artists or people who have an art appreciation.  We like working with people who embrace their creative energy.

Ken originally taught himself HTML and Javascript.  In 2001, he acquired his CompTIA-Net+ certification through New Horizons.  Today, Ken uses Adobes CS4 Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop along with Corel Draw and Painter to create designs and build Web sites.

Ken and Elaine have always understood the combined importance of site design and promotion.  Ken has a very proficient search engine optimization understanding.  Through her coaching, Elaine has gained tremendous insight into Social Media and the powerful marketing ramifications being used with it today.  We urge our clients to incorporate these aspects into their online marketing strategy.  It is our belief a company’s Web site needs to be a well thought out, driving piece of the overall business and marketing plan.

Because every company is unique, Ken only develops custom Web designs so it is very important for us to gain a thorough understanding of your business and what you need in a site to meet the needs of your clients as well as your own.
